Yeah yeah yeah...I know that sounds like some advertising drivel and so cliche'd, right? But nonetheless, IT"S TRUE!!!

Our signature Herbal Pot Soup is brewed from some awesomely potent herbs which apart from deliciously tasty is also GOOD FOR HEALTH.

The Herbal Pot Soup is brewed from:-

Wood Ear or MUK YEE which lowers cholesterol, prevents blood clots and improves circulation.

Cilantro or YEEM SAI which prevents urinary tract infections, aids digestion, relieves stomach "wind", prevents nausea, lowers blood sugar, lowers bad cholesterol (LDL), increases good cholesterol (HDL) and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Ginger which relieves nausea and digestive problems, aids circulation, relieves arthritis, supports healthy cardiovascular system, minimizes symptoms of respiratory conditions, colds and allergies and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Oi! What tokking you?

What the crab you tokking la?

Recently some of you have been confused by the map link that is in all the Damansara Village articles on this blog. The reason for this is that SHELL have taken over all the ProJet Petrol stations and I have not learned enough about blogging to change the map bit.

So please remember ah? The ProJet Station on the map is the SHELL Station, okay? And the new map is now posted on the right hand side bar just below the Damansara Village Logo.

Thank you ah.

Damansara Village Family Sundays

Bring the whole family for delicious fresh seafood steamboat at Damansara Village on Sundays and enjoy a wholesome family dining experience. There are activities for the kids...

Longkang fishing.

Try to catch as many as you can. But remember to put the fish back in the stream unless you want to take them home and care for them. DO NOT LEAVE FISH IN THE BUCKET FOR TOO LONG AS THEY WILL DIE.

Free balloons sculptures by Uncle Richard.

And of course, great seafood steamboat for everybody in the family.

For reservations call 03 7803 1832 after 5 pm. Open 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended for weekend dining.

The way to SAFE and DELICIOUS steamboat eating

1. ALWAYS ensure that the soup is boiling before putting in any foodstuff.

2. DO NOT drink the soup immediately after putting in raw seafood and other uncooked food.

3. ALWAYS allow the pot to boil for 1 or 2 minutes before eating the food inside.

4. DO NOT mix fresh seafood and processed foods like fishball, fishcake, wan ton, sui kao etc. when cooking as the combination of the tastes might clash. This is merely the chef’s recommendation and not a hard and fast rule.

5. ALWAYS remember that certain vegetables like Tong O and Choi Sum have a strong taste and aroma. Putting these in the steamboat before you are ready may change the taste and aroma of the soup.

6. DO NOT overcook fresh sea food or they will lose their taste and texture.

7. ALWAYS remember that most fresh seafood like fish, prawns and crabs take only a short time to cook. Clams are cooked when they pop open. Over-cooked clams have the texture of your old tennis shoes.

8. DO NOT eat any clams that remain closed even after proper cooking time.

A few simple suggestions to make your dining experience at Damansara Village an enjoyable and memorable one.

For reservations call 03 7803 1832 after 5 pm. Open 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended for weekend diners.

Exercise while you eat

Happy diners enjoying their workout

Unconfirmed medical research claims that steamboat dining actually helps build strong leg and arm muscles.

This is because unlike conventional dining where you sit on your backsides and some waitress/waiter serves you, steamboat dining demands that you put in some physical effort. The steamboat pot is in the middle of the table. This requires that you stand up ever so often either to put in the food to cook or to take food out for yourself and your guests.

Over time this action strengthens your leg muscles and particularly firms up the thighs.

Another healthy benefit is that at Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant you dine only on healthy fresh seafood caught daily from the seas of Pulau Ketam. And daily home-made fish balls, fish noodles, wan ton, dumplings and delicious paper-wrapped chicken. Low on carbs. High on nutrition. Absolutely NO Monosodium Glutamate (MSG).

So, come to Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant for your regular workout. Ask for Allan, Ken or Kenneth to work out a personal training programme to suit your taste.
